
Ingredients
Makes 12 cupcakes
250ml flour
125ml cocoa powder
2ml baking soda
2.5ml baking powder
Pinch of salt
60ml vegetable oil
125ml sugar
1 egg
5ml vanilla essence
125ml buttermilk
80ml black coffee
Method
1. Line a muffin tray and preheat the oven to 180C.
2. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl.
3. In a separate bowl combine egg, oil, vanilla and buttermilk. Mix.
4. Add wet mixture to dry ingredients and mix.
5. Mix in the black coffee.
6. Divide the mixture into the cupcake liners.
7. Bake at 180C for 12 -15 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
8. Top with frosting of your choice
